Repeals the July 1, 2021 sunset on Colorado Revised Statutes 22-2-145 and establishes permanent media literacy requirements in K-12 education.

Directs the Colorado Department of Education to create and maintain an online resource bank of media literacy materials and resources based on recommendations from the Media Literacy Advisory Committee.

Requires the State Board of Education to adopt revisions to reading, writing, and civics standards that incorporate media literacy knowledge and skills for elementary through secondary students.

Allows school districts, charter schools, and cooperative services boards to request technical assistance from the department for implementing media literacy policies and practices, but does not mandate adoption of specific materials or resources.

Establishes that the bill is necessary for immediate preservation of public peace, health, or safety.
