Allows professionals to perform auricular acudetox without requiring licensure, certification, or registration as a mental health professional if they provide documentation of training in the technique.

Requires successful completion of a training program in auricular acudetox for substance use disorder treatment that meets or exceeds standards established by the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association or another director-approved organization.

Prohibits mental health professionals performing auricular acudetox from using the title "acupuncturist" or claiming qualification to perform acupuncture beyond the scope of auricular acudetox practice.

Repeals previous requirement that practitioners performing auricular acudetox must be licensed under article 245 or certified as a level III addiction counselor.

Includes a safety clause declaring the act necessary for immediate preservation of public peace, health, or safety.
