• Creates licensure requirement for radon measurement and radon mitigation professionals in Colorado, effective July 1, 2022, administered by the Director of the Division of Professions and Occupations.

• Requires applicants to obtain certification from a proficiency program recognized by the EPA and pass criminal history screening, excluding felonies and certain offenses involving sexual behavior, domestic violence, or stalking within the prior five years.

• Mandates professional liability insurance of at least $250,000 for radon measurement professionals and $500,000 for radon mitigation professionals.

• Establishes disciplinary authority for violations including failure to comply with ANSI/AARST standards, unlicensed practice, fraud, inadequate supervision of assistants, and false advertising; allows fines up to $3,000 per violation.
