Exempts the wildland fire management section in the Department of Public Safety from the general rule that criminal convictions alone cannot bar employment, allowing individualized consideration of convictions for these positions.

Requires the division of fire prevention and control to develop informational materials by July 1, 2022 describing wildland fire career opportunities, minimum qualifications, and how to obtain them, with distribution to inmates participating in the disaster relief program.

Encourages the division to hire persons who acquired wildland fire experience through the inmate disaster relief program and requires establishment of a peer mentor program to support professional skill development.

Directs the Department of Corrections to distribute career information materials to inmates with wildland fire experience through the disaster relief program.

Requires the wildfire matters review committee to review and propose legislation during 2021-2022 on maximizing the inmate disaster relief program's wildland firefighting capacity and creating career opportunities for program participants.
