Establishes automatic expungement of petty offenses 1 year, nonviolent misdemeanors 3 years, and nonviolent felonies 5 years after completion of sentence or release from supervision.

State court administrator compiles eligible convictions; Colorado Bureau of Investigation reviews and removes cases with identification issues or intervening convictions; district attorneys remove cases with pending charges.

Chief judges may authorize the state court administrator to issue expungement orders directly, or courts in their district enter orders based on the final list received.

Excludes numerous offense categories from automatic expungement including traffic offenses, sexual offenses, domestic violence, crimes of violence, drug felonies, and offenses against children, with limited exceptions requiring district attorney consent or clear and convincing evidence.

State court administrator develops website allowing defendants to confidentially check expungement status; expunged records cannot be disclosed in employment or educational applications, and defendants may state no such records exist.
