SB21-133 Summary

• Adds Colorado Revised Statute 44-5-109 to allow club licensees to commingle alcohol beverages purchased for special events with their existing inventory without separate storage requirements.

• Applies to clubs licensed under Section 44-3-418 that purchase alcohol from wholesalers specifically for special events held on their premises.

• Effective 12:01 a.m. on the day following the 90-day period after final adjournment of the general assembly, subject to referendum petition provisions.

• If a referendum petition is filed within the 90-day period, the act will not take effect unless approved by Colorado voters at the November 2022 general election.

• Applies to special event permits issued on or after the effective date of the act.
