• Fire and radon inspection requirements for child care centers providing exclusively school-age child care on school district, district charter, or institute charter school property may be satisfied by providing a copy of a satisfactory inspection report completed within the preceding twelve months, eliminating duplicate inspections.

• Child care centers must provide copies of fire and radon inspection reports to appropriate school officials when inspections are conducted.

• Annual playground facility inspections are required, with satisfactory certifications from individuals licensed through the National Recreation and Park Association or other nationally recognized playground safety organizations accepted as valid proof.

• Children enrolled in school-age programs or large child care centers may possess and self-administer medication for asthma, food allergies, or anaphylaxis if requirements in section 22-1-119.5 are met.

• During emergency circumstances, child care centers may permit non-qualified employees who passed criminal background checks to supervise children for up to two hours (or longer for large centers and school-property centers) while securing qualified caregivers, provided staff-to-child ratios are maintained.
