SB21-212 Summary

• The state board must adopt rules beginning in the 2021-22 fiscal year to maximize federal funds for primary care provider payments by aligning them with the Colorado Medical Assistance Act (Articles 4, 5, and 6 of Title 25.5).

• The state department shall align primary care payments with federal requirements and state constitutional provisions (Section 21 of Article X) to the extent permitted by federal law.

• The general assembly anticipates receiving $25,330,755 in federal funds for the primary care fund program in fiscal year 2021-22, subject to the "(I)" notation in the annual general appropriation act.

• The act is declared necessary for the immediate preservation of public peace, health, or safety.
