SB21-231 Summary

• State Treasurer shall transfer $3 million from the General Fund to the Energy Fund upon the effective date of the legislation.

• Colorado Energy Office shall use transferred funds to provide grants for the Weatherization Assistance Program prior to June 30, 2022, with no more than 8 percent of funds permitted for grant administration.

• Colorado Energy Office shall report to the Office of State Planning and Budgeting, House Energy and Environment Committee, and Senate Transportation and Energy Committee by September 2, 2022, detailing all grants awarded and their purposes.

• Colorado Energy Office shall incorporate grant information in its annual January 2023 presentation under Section 2-7-203.

• This appropriation provision expires and is repealed effective July 1, 2024.
