• Allocates $15 million from the general fund for fiscal year 2021-22 to establish the Area Agency on Aging Grant Program supporting services for older Coloradans.

• Grant program funds projects including community services, infrastructure improvements, health promotion, congregate meals, transportation services, home modifications, and evidence-based fall prevention and chronic disease management programs.

• State Office must establish program policies and criteria by October 31, 2021, begin accepting applications by January 1, 2022, and report to legislative committees during the 2023 session on project types, award amounts, locations, and program impact.

• Administrative costs limited to 3 percent of total funds; any unexpended money remaining after December 31, 2022, is credited back to the general fund.

• Program and associated cash fund automatically repeal on December 31, 2022.
