• Extends Colorado law to allow business owners, managers, and employees to use deadly physical force against intruders, previously limited to dwelling occupants.

• Justifies deadly force when an intruder unlawfully enters a place of business AND the defender reasonably believes the intruder committed a crime beyond the entry OR is committing/intends to commit a crime AND might use physical force.

• Grants criminal and civil immunity to business owners, managers, and employees who use physical force (including deadly force) in accordance with these conditions.

• Amends related self-defense statutes to reference the new business intruder provision and ensure consistency across Colorado's use-of-force laws.
