HB 22-1135 Summary

• Removes the prohibition on transferring medical marijuana transporter licenses when there is a change of ownership, allowing such transfers to occur.

• Removes the prohibition on transferring retail marijuana transporter licenses when there is a change of ownership, allowing such transfers to occur.

• Amends Colorado Revised Statutes sections 44-10-505 and 44-10-605 to delete language that previously stated transporter licenses "cannot be transferred with a change of ownership."

• Takes effect 12:01 a.m. on the day following the ninety-day period after final adjournment of the general assembly, unless a referendum petition is filed requiring voter approval at the November 2022 general election.
