HB22-1143: State Auxiliary Services Program

• Requires the Colorado Commission for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Deafblind to continue operating the state auxiliary services program indefinitely to serve state departments and agencies that employ or serve deaf, hard of hearing, and deafblind individuals.

• Commission must coordinate statewide scheduling, manage provider payment processes, intake and fulfill service requests, resolve issues, and communicate with users, providers, and appointing authorities.

• Commission must establish, monitor, and publish a list of CART providers and qualified interpreters on its public website.

• Commission must create an advisory council to make recommendations concerning provision of auxiliary services to state departments and agencies.

• Commission must gather and report data on program functions in its annual report to the governor and general assembly.
