Creates the Office of Cardiac Arrest Management within the Department of Public Health and Environment to promote public access defibrillators and coordinate sudden cardiac arrest data collection from hospitals and emergency medical services.

Office duties include implementing public awareness campaigns on cardiac arrest, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, defibrillator use, and maintaining a list of state training programs that comply with American Heart Association guidelines.

Office may acquire, analyze, and share cardiac arrest data with emergency medical services providers, dispatch centers, hospitals, research entities, and designated state and national cardiac arrest registries.

General Assembly shall appropriate $200,000 from the general fund to the Department for the Office for fiscal year 2022-23 and each subsequent fiscal year.

Act takes effect 12:01 a.m. on the day following the ninety-day period after final adjournment of the general assembly, unless a referendum petition is filed.
