• Beginning January 2024, State Department shall annually report on repair metric compliance as part of SMART Government Act hearings.

• Three years after repair metrics are established, State Department may engage stakeholders to determine need for additional accountability measures including financial penalties or audits for metric violations.

• Beginning December 1, 2024, State Department shall reimburse repair labor costs at a rate 25 percent higher for rural clients than urban clients.

• Appropriates $112,668 for fiscal year 2022-23 from general fund and anticipates $112,668 in federal funds for implementation.
