Creates the Math Achievement Accelerator Grant Program to provide three-year grants of $75,000 to $125,000 per school per budget year to local education providers serving kindergarten through eighth grade to implement research-based mathematics improvement plans.

Grants support diverse school-based strategies including evidence-based professional development, mathematics curricula, partnerships with higher education institutions or nonprofits, and increased educator staffing in mathematics.

Grant review committee consisting of elementary and secondary mathematics educators, national mathematics education experts, and school improvement experts assists the Department of Education and State Board of Education in selecting grant recipients, with consideration for geographic diversity, school performance data, and financial need.

Department must contract with an independent evaluator to annually assess the effectiveness of funded school plans and the overall grant program, submitting evaluation reports to the State Board and education committees by December 1 each year through 2026.

Appropriates $5,000,000 from the general fund for the 2022-23 fiscal year to establish the Math Achievement Accelerator Grant Fund; program automatically repeals July 1, 2027.
