Amends Colorado Revised Statutes 25.5-4-402.4 to allow hospitals to include the healthcare affordability and sustainability fee as a separate line item in patient billing statements.

Changes the requirement from prohibition ("shall not") to permission ("may") for hospitals to display the total fee amount to increase transparency for patients.

Takes effect 12:01 a.m. on the day following the expiration of the ninety-day period after final adjournment of the general assembly.

Subject to referendum petition; if challenged within the ninety-day period, the act will not take effect unless approved by Colorado voters at the November 2022 general election.
