Division of administration in the department of public health and environment shall analyze hazardous air pollution data from the Risk-Screening Environmental Indicators published by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to identify geographic areas where hazardous air pollutants have the greatest potential for causing chronic human health effects.

Division shall produce and publish a Colorado map showing geographic areas where hazardous air pollutants have the greatest potential for causing chronic human health effects on its website.

Division shall propose a rule to the air quality control commission by July 1, 2023 to reduce hazardous air pollutants within the identified geographic areas with the greatest potential for causing chronic human health effects.

Commission shall hold a hearing to consider promulgating the proposed rule and shall comply with section 25-7-110.5 when considering the rule.

Act takes effect 90 days after final adjournment of the general assembly, or upon approval by voters in November 2022 if a referendum petition is filed.
