Adds educators to the list of "protected persons" whose personal information cannot be made public on the internet, alongside code enforcement officers, health workers, judges, peace officers, and other public safety workers.

Expands the definition of "personnel files" to include the specific date of an educator's absence from work as confidential information exempt from public disclosure.

Applies the same confidentiality protections to educators' home addresses, telephone numbers, financial information, and other personal information previously protected for other public employees.

Declares the act necessary for immediate preservation of public peace, health, or safety.
