SB 22-212: Nonsubstantive Revision of Colorado Statutes

• Performs comprehensive nonsubstantive revision of Colorado Revised Statutes to preserve legislative intent while correcting obsolete, imperfect, and inoperative provisions.

• Updates numerous internal cross-references and definitions throughout the statutes due to prior legislative changes, repeals, and relocations of code sections.

• Repeals obsolete provisions no longer needed, including provisions with expired deadlines, repealed statutes, and unused defined terms.

• Corrects references to federal law to reflect current statutory citations and reorganizations in the United States Code.

• Takes effect 90 days after adjournment of the 2022 general assembly, subject to voter approval if a referendum petition is filed.
