• State regulatory agencies should issue permits to increase Colorado oil and gas production for domestic and international use to displace less-regulated foreign energy sources and achieve global reductions in carbon, methane, and volatile organic compounds.

• Colorado General Assembly urges the Governor and President of the United States to support policies ensuring long-term American energy leadership, security, and progress.

• Colorado General Assembly urges the Governor and President to promote production of cleaner, more environmentally responsible energy resources to reduce energy poverty, lower energy costs, and strengthen American energy security.

• Resolution cites Colorado as the fifth largest crude oil and seventh largest natural gas producer in the nation, with 340,000 jobs and $46.1 billion in gross domestic product contribution from oil and gas in 2019.
