Senate Joint Resolution affirming 11 parental rights in Colorado education, including the right to choose schools for their child including schools outside their designated district and to establish charter schools in any district.

Parents have the right to know curriculum, instructional materials, guest lecturers, and information on school contracts and funding; to access their child's academic data and school records; and to know about data collection and transmission.

Parents have the right to expect their child's personal information remain private without third-party disclosure unless consented to, and to know their child's academic performance, school performance metrics, and school funding allocation.

Parents have the right to ensure children access academic acceleration opportunities including advanced placement, international baccalaureate, dual enrollment, and industry credentials, and to know their child will be college or career ready upon graduation.

School board meetings regarding curriculum, safety, and student-related concerns must be held open to the public with allowance for public comments; parents have the right to information about situations affecting their child's school safety.
