Authorizes metropolitan district boards to levy a uniform sales tax with voter approval to fund parks, recreational facilities, or programs located within the district.

Sales tax revenue may be used only to fund one of three purposes: transportation, fire protection in areas where the tax is levied, or parks or recreational facilities or programs within the district.

Tax applies to retail transactions subject to state sales tax occurring within unincorporated areas of the district.

Takes effect 90 days after legislative adjournment, unless a referendum petition is filed, in which case voter approval at the November 2024 general election is required.
