HB23-1107 Summary

• Division shall award grants from the Colorado Crime Victim Services Fund to governmental agencies and nonprofit organizations providing services for crime victims, including care for animal companions.

• State treasurer shall transfer $32 million from the economic recovery and relief cash fund and $6 million from the general fund to the crime victim services fund within three days after May 19, 2022.

• Money originating from the federal Coronavirus State Fiscal Recovery Fund may only be used for services permitted under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (Pub.L. 117-2).

• State Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services Fund receives $6 million from the behavioral and mental health cash fund, plus an additional $3 million transfer from the general fund on July 1, 2023.

• Subsections establishing federal compliance requirements and fund transfers are repealed effective July 1, 2027, except the domestic violence fund transfer provision which is repealed June 30, 2024.
