• Creates the Accountability, Accreditation, Student Performance, and Resource Inequity Task Force to study Colorado's K-12 education accountability system and address resource inequities affecting student performance.

• Task force consists of 26 members appointed by July 1, 2023, representing superintendents, teachers, parents, charter schools, rural and urban districts, and education policy organizations, with a neutral facilitator hired by August 15, 2023.

• Task force must meet at least 4 times in 2023 and 6 times in 2024 to examine academic opportunities, inequities, promising practices, and improvements to the accountability system.

• Requires submission of an interim report by March 1, 2024, and a final report by November 15, 2024, to the legislature, governor, state board, and department of education.

• Appropriates $300,709 from the general fund for fiscal year 2023-24 (0.3 FTE) and automatically repeals the task force on December 31, 2026.
