Licensed retail marijuana stores may accept online payment for sales of retail marijuana and retail marijuana products.

Individuals must be physically present at the store's licensed premises to take possession of purchased marijuana or products.

Online purchasers must provide name and date of birth to verify they are at least 21 years old; stores must inspect identification upon pickup and verify information matches.

Stores must provide digital versions of all required warnings and educational materials to online purchasers, including warnings required by section 44-10-203(3)(h), and purchasers must acknowledge receipt before completing the purchase.

The act takes effect 90 days after final adjournment of the general assembly, unless a referendum petition is filed, in which case it requires voter approval at the November 2024 general election.
