Extends the sunset date for the Colorado Commission on Criminal and Juvenile Justice from September 1, 2023 to September 1, 2028.

Expands the commission's membership from 29 to include representatives focused on behavioral health, violence prevention, community corrections, and reentry programs, with at least one criminal defense attorney from a rural judicial district.

Broadens the commission's mission to promote a just and fair criminal justice system while investigating non-carceral interventions, behavioral health disorders in the criminal justice system, and evidence-based prevention initiatives.

Requires the Division of Criminal Justice to provide Spanish language translation services at all public meetings and for publicly available documents, and to provide other language translation services upon request.

Mandates the commission establish advisory committees and task forces, schedule meetings to maximize participation, and conduct regular briefings on national criminal justice research relevant to the commission's work.
