CO SB247

Establishes the Division of Civil Protections and Rights as a new division within the Colorado Department of Law under the attorney general's authority.

Adds the new division to the list of offices, boards, and divisions that comprise the Department of Law in Colorado Revised Statutes 24-31-102.

Takes effect at 12:01 a.m. on the day following the expiration of the ninety-day period after final adjournment of the general assembly.

May be subject to a referendum petition, in which case the act will not take effect unless approved by voters at the general election in November 2024.
