Non-regionally accredited higher education institutions must provide all incoming students with an enrollment agreement or contract before enrollment that includes a conspicuous notice about limited credit transferability

The required notice must include information about where students can obtain credit for credentials through the statewide credit for prior learning policy under section 23-5-145.5 or any other articulation agreements the institution has

The notice must include a statement that individual credits or credentials obtained at the institution may not transfer to other colleges or universities

Students must be advised to confirm whether credits will transfer if they plan to transfer to another institution

The act takes effect at 12:01 a.m. on the day following the expiration of the ninety-day period after final adjournment of the general assembly, unless subject to a successful referendum petition
