• Requires mandatory minimum sentences of at least 4 years (class 3 felony minimum) for convictions of soliciting for child prostitution, procurement of a child, keeping a place of child prostitution, pimping of a child, inducement of child prostitution, and patronizing a prostituted child.

• Requires mandatory minimum sentence of at least 8 years (class 2 felony minimum) for pandering of a child involving menacing or criminal intimidation to induce a child to commit prostitution.

• Requires mandatory minimum sentence of at least 4 years (class 3 felony minimum) for other types of pandering of a child.

• Applies to offenses committed on or after the effective date of the act.

• Includes a safety clause declaring the act necessary for preservation of public peace, health, and safety.
