Amends Colorado Revised Statutes 24-31-308 to allow the P.O.S.T. board to grant provisional peace officer certificates to individuals authorized as peace officers in the armed forces.

Previously excluded individuals with armed forces peace officer authorization from provisional certificate eligibility; this bill removes that exclusion.

Requires applicants to have served as a certified law enforcement officer in good standing for more than one year in the authorizing jurisdiction within the preceding three years.

Takes effect 90 days after final adjournment of the general assembly, unless subject to a referendum petition filed within that period, in which case it requires voter approval at the November 2024 general election.
