HB24-1110 Summary

• Department of Labor and Employment must consult with the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs to create and distribute a veterans' benefits and services poster by December 31, 2024.

• Poster must include information on substance use and mental health treatment services, educational and workforce training resources, tax benefits, unemployment insurance benefits, legal services, and contact information for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Crisis Hotline.

• Poster must also include contact and website information for the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, as well as information about Colorado state identification cards and drivers' licenses bearing armed services branch identifiers.

• Beginning January 1, 2025, all Colorado employers with more than 50 full-time employees are required to display the poster in a conspicuous and easily accessible location in the workplace.

• Act takes effect 90 days after final adjournment of the general assembly unless a referendum petition is filed, in which case voter approval at the November 2024 general election is required.
