• Extends the Colorado Fire Commission's sunset date from September 1, 2024 to September 1, 2033, continuing the advisory committee for an additional nine years.

• Removes the Colorado Fire Commission from the September 1, 2024 repeal schedule and adds it to a new September 1, 2033 repeal schedule with a subsequent repeal of that provision effective September 1, 2034.

• Appropriates $247,554 to the Department of Public Safety's Division of Fire Prevention and Control for fiscal year 2024-25, based on an assumption of 1.0 additional FTE for wildland fire management services.

• Takes effect 90 days after final adjournment of the general assembly, unless subject to a referendum petition that would require voter approval at the November 2024 general election.
