CO HB1278

Removes the Concurrent Enrollment Advisory Board from the September 1, 2024 sunset repeal date and extends its authorization to September 1, 2027.

Adds a new duty for the board to work with the Department of Education, Department of Higher Education, and the community college system to support enrollment of first-generation students, low-income students, and students of color in concurrent enrollment programs.

Implements a recommendation from the Department of Regulatory Agencies' 2023 sunset report by extending the board's statutory authorization for an additional three years.

Takes effect September 1, 2024, but is subject to referendum petition by voters within 90 days of final adjournment of the general assembly.
