HB 24-1344: State Plumbing Board Continuation

• Extends the repeal date of Colorado's State Plumbing Board from September 1, 2024 to September 1, 2032, continuing the board's regulatory functions for eight additional years.

• Replaces the term "journeyman plumber" with "journeyworker plumber" throughout plumbing licensing statutes to use gender-neutral language.

• Requires plumbing contractors to display their Colorado registration identification number and their attached master plumber's registration number on vehicles, billing materials, bid sheets, and websites beginning July 1, 2025.

• Changes plumbing license renewal from current terms to a three-year cycle beginning March 1, 2027, unless otherwise determined by the director.

• Simplifies water conditioning contractor definitions by replacing negative definitions ("does not include") with positive definitions ("is not a plumbing contractor") and adds failing to display registration information as a disciplinary violation.
