Mandates that public entities must designate work zones by erecting signs notifying the public of increased traffic violation penalties, with a second sign marking where the zone ends.

Applies increased penalties under section 42-4-1701(4)(c) to traffic violations committed in designated maintenance, repair, or construction zones.

Takes effect 12:01 a.m. the day after the 90-day period following final adjournment of the general assembly, unless subject to a referendum petition.
