Department of Revenue may issue up to two remuneration-exempt identifying placards to eligible individuals with disabilities for reserved parking spaces.

Remuneration-exempt identifying placards do not count toward existing limits on disability placards and license plates.

Parking space owners, operators, or managers cannot tow, boot, or take adverse action against vehicles displaying a remuneration-exempt identifying placard for failure to pay parking fees.

$10,447 appropriated to Department of Revenue for fiscal year 2024-25 for DRIVES maintenance, personal services, and OIT payments; $335 appropriated for license plate ordering.

Act takes effect November 1, 2024, or on the date of official declaration of voter approval if a referendum petition is filed within 90 days after final adjournment of the general assembly.
