Adds first and second degree motor vehicle theft convictions to the list of felonies that prohibit a person from possessing firearms or other weapons subject to Article 12.

Adds felony convictions for manufacturing, dispensing, selling, or distributing controlled substances to the firearm possession prohibition list.

Adds felony convictions for possession with intent to manufacture, dispense, sell, or distribute controlled substances to the firearm possession prohibition list.

Applies to offenses committed on or after the effective date of the act.
