Increases minimum required hours for massage therapy licensure from 500 to 650 total hours of coursework and clinical work effective July 1, 2024.

Provides transition exception for individuals enrolled in massage therapy programs on or before July 1, 2024, who may graduate under the old 500-hour requirement if they complete the program by October 1, 2025.

Applies to all massage therapist licensure applications submitted on or after the effective date of the act.

Includes a safety clause declaring the act necessary for preservation of public peace, health, and safety.
