Department of Corrections must search for outstanding warrants (in-state and out-of-state) and pending Colorado court cases for offenders at two points: during initial sentence evaluation and 3-8 months before community corrections eligibility date

When warrants or pending cases are found, DOC must notify the offender, the public defender liaison to DOC, and the relevant court with case details and the offender's custody location

Office of State Public Defender must designate an email address for receiving DOC notifications about offenders' warrants and pending cases

Courts receiving notifications are encouraged to arrange offender appearances, assign counsel if eligible, and resolve matters in a timely manner that doesn't delay community corrections or parole consideration

Virtual court appearances are encouraged to avoid unnecessary transport, and DOC must facilitate these appearances subject to available technology at correctional facilities
