Adds peer support professional behavioral health services as a new reentry initiative component for offenders transitioning from correctional facilities to the community

Peer support services must be provided by credentialed peer support professionals or through other research-based programs

Defines peer support professional behavioral health services as activities and interactions between people who share similar experiences of being diagnosed with behavioral health conditions, including substance use disorders

Amends the existing Colorado reentry planning statute (17-33-101) which already includes emergency assistance funding and medication-assisted therapy programs

Takes effect 90 days after the general assembly adjourns, unless a referendum petition is filed
