Public school contracts must require contractors to comply with disability accessibility standards adopted by the Office of Information Technology and to indemnify schools for all costs, damages, attorney fees, and liabilities arising from the contractor's noncompliance

State agency and public entity contracts for supplies, services, or construction must include the same accessibility compliance and indemnification requirements for contractors

Public schools, state agencies, and public entities may require third-party verification of a contractor's accessibility compliance

Professional services contracts and contracts between government entities are exempt from the new state agency/public entity requirements

Applies to contracts entered into, amended, or renewed on or after the effective date, which is 90 days after the legislative session ends (subject to referendum petition)
