Authorizes Emily Griffith Technical College to offer Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degrees to students enrolled in registered apprenticeship programs, with approval from the State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education

Degree programs must include a registered apprenticeship component, sufficient transferable general education courses aligned with guaranteed transfer pathways, and alignment with high-need, high-demand occupations identified in the Colorado Talent Report

Board approval requires evaluation of student/workforce demand, alignment with existing apprenticeship programs, cost-effectiveness, and accreditation/licensing requirements

Programs established under the act are eligible for federal funding through the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Improvement Act of 2006

Takes effect 90 days after final adjournment of the general assembly, unless a referendum petition is filed
