All firearms brought into gun shows by non-vendors must be checked and tagged, with tags stating that private party transfers must go through a licensed dealer

Promoters must verify compliance with Colorado's 3-day waiting period before allowing customers to leave with purchased firearms, and prohibit entry to persons under 18 unless accompanied by a parent, grandparent, or guardian

Violations constitute Class 2 misdemeanors, escalating to Class 1 misdemeanors for repeat offenses; second-time offending promoters are banned from operating gun shows for 5 years, and second-time offending vendors are permanently banned from participating as vendors
