Joint session of the Colorado House and Senate scheduled for January 16, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the House Chambers to hear a message from representatives of the Ute Mountain Ute Tribal Council and the Southern Ute Indian Tribe Tribal Council

Recognizes Colorado's two resident tribes—the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe of Towaoc and the Southern Ute Indian Tribe near Ignacio—along with their sister tribe, the Ute Indian Tribe of Fort Duchesne, Utah

Acknowledges the three Ute Nations, comprising six bands (Weenuche, Kaputa, Mouache, Uncompahgre, Uintah, and White River), and their contributions to government, medicine, education, religion, environment, economy, and military

Reaffirms the General Assembly's commitment to maintaining strong, respectful relationships with the sovereign Tribal Nations sharing the state
