Highlights Colorado-specific Black history, including pioneers Barney Ford, Clara Brown, and O.T. Jackson (founder of Dearfield in 1910), and the state's first Black legislators John T. Gunnell (1881-1883) and Joseph H. Stuart (1895-1897)

Notes the 100-year anniversary of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters and Maids (1925), the first Black union chartered by the American Federation of Labor

Directs copies of the resolution be sent to History Colorado, Governor Jared Polis, and Colorado's congressional delegation
