Reduces the lookback period for criminal convictions that disqualify motor vehicle dealer license applicants from 10 years to 3 years

Criminal convictions may only be considered for 3 years from the date of conviction or end of incarceration, whichever is later, provided the applicant has no additional convictions during that period

After the 3-year period, applicants must be evaluated the same as individuals without criminal records

Convictions for crimes directly related to the auto industry may be considered indefinitely, regardless of when they occurred

Applies to both motor vehicle dealer licenses and powersports vehicle dealer licenses, effective 90 days after legislative adjournment
