Requires Colorado institutions of higher education to create and adopt policies supporting students with disabilities who voluntarily self-disclose to receive academic adjustments through an interactive process

Institutions must publish accessible policies describing eligibility processes, acceptable documentation, available resources, and an appeals process focused on documentary review

Acceptable documentation includes IEPs, Section 504 plans, records from qualified health-care providers, documentation from other institutions of higher education, or military service disability records

IEPs and Section 504 plans do not automatically qualify students for academic adjustments if they lack relevant diagnostic details or fail to describe how the disability limits major life activities

Institutions may establish less burdensome documentation criteria and may request updated documentation if submissions lack detail, are outdated, or if students request substantially new adjustments
