Colorado National Guard members (enlisted and officers) receive full tuition waivers at designated state institutions of higher education, replacing the previous tuition assistance program

Tuition waiver limits: up to 65 credit hours at two-year institutions, up to 130 credit hours at four-year institutions, or a combined maximum of 145 credit hours for members attending both

Eligible institutions include all University of Colorado campuses, Colorado State University system, Colorado Mesa University, Fort Lewis College, Western Colorado University, Colorado School of Mines, community colleges, area technical colleges, and local district colleges

Members must be accepted at a designated institution, be in good standing with the National Guard, and complete a state or federal financial aid application to qualify

Appropriates $562,787 from the general fund to the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs for fiscal year 2025-26 to implement the tuition waiver program
