Requires the Department of Corrections to audit a random, statistically significant sample of risk assessments and chronologicals for inmates granted parole between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2025, who received low or very low risk scores, with the audit due by December 31, 2026

Mandates the Department report audit findings and corrective actions during SMART Act hearings in January 2027, 2028, and 2029, addressing error rates that reached up to 98% in some cases according to 2025 audits

Classifies risk assessments and chronologicals as criminal justice records subject to public inspection under the Colorado Criminal Justice Records Act, reversing the Department's January 2026 decision to stop providing these documents under open records requests

Requires redaction of medical and mental health treatment or diagnosis information from risk assessments and chronologicals before public release

Voids any agreements that would prohibit disclosure of information in risk assessments or chronologicals that is otherwise subject to public disclosure; audit and reporting provisions sunset July 1, 2029
